Do you see the picture looks 3D? I think you have same view with me. This is a work from Japanese artist Nagai Hideyuki - uses pencils and crayons to create amazing scenes that appear three-dimensional. Nagai Hideyuki is a 21 year old artist from Tokyo, Japan. His typical set up involves two sketchbooks. One placed upright against a wall while the other lays flat on his desk. This simple set up is the environment for his anamorphic art.

The tricks from this art work is playing with shadow, light and perspective to creates these stylized optical illusions using the entire spread of his sketchbooks. The technique that he used is the Trompe-l'≈ìil technique" - French for 'deceives the eye' - he employs a projection technique called anamorphosis to create the illusion of three dimensions when viewed from the correct angle. It just work when viewed from the correct angle.

You can find other works of Nagai Hideyuki from his personal website, deviantART and Facebook.
